Part 1 of our 6-Part Series:
Understanding and Supporting Your Fearful Pet
Presented by Emily Tronetti, MS, CTC, CPDT-KA (she/her/hers)
Many companion animals struggle with fear, anxiety, and stress. Unfortunately, there are many misconceptions about these issues. Beliefs like “they’ll just grow out of it” or “that’s just how they are” can prevent dogs and cats from getting the help they deserve. These animals often require a team approach to get the best care possible, such as support from their guardian, their veterinarian, and, often, an animal behavior professional. But how do you know for sure if you need to add a behavior professional to your dog or cat’s team? And if you do, how do you find one that you can trust?
In this webinar, we’ll discuss how to know when your pet needs behavior support and who to look to for help. We’ll talk about the different types of animal behavior professionals and look at what credentials and experience to look for. You’ll learn how to find someone reputable and what questions to ask before hiring them.
